Sandler will use its recent plant expansion to house a third spunlace line dedicated to the production of wipes and nonwovens for technical applications. The new line is scheduled to begin production in early 2011 and will make Sandler’s Schwarzenbach site one of the world’s largest wipes manufacturing facilities.

Sandler’s board decided in spring 2009 to move forward with a €40 million plant expansion project including a 150 meter long, 70 meter wide, 20 meter high, two-story building. At that time, the nonwovens producer did not disclose what types of new production lines would be housed in the expansion.
